Day 1; Copenhagen – Faroe Islands
After less 2 hours of pleasant flight, you arrive at beautiful Faroe Islands and your guide is waiting for the group at the airport.

By bus, the group is driven to the capital Tórshavn – along the way, your guide will tell you about the next 6 days stay.

there is a planned sightseeing tour in Tórshavn, where we will visit Europe’s best-preserved “Old Town” at Reyni, Fort Skansin and the worlds oldest Parliament Tinganes,

then go to the Faroe Islands old cultural centre Kirkjubøur and visit Roykstovan from 1050, Sct. Magnus Cathedral from the 1300s and the Faroe Islands oldest church from 1200.

The evening meal is at a restaurant in Tórshavn.

Day 2; Vestmanna Birdcliffs
By bus to the village of Vestmanna, where the boat will take you on a fantastic cruise under the towering birdcliffs, listen to the silence of the caves will be overwhelmed by the thousands of birds living on these cliffs. The trip takes about 2 hours and then a buffet will be served in the restaurant at the same place.

Dinner will be downtown Tórshavn at the tapas-restaurant Katrina Christiansen, which is just a few houndred meters from your hotel.

Day 3; Sightseeing Streymoy and Eysturoy
Today is the time to change the hotel – bus and guide will pick you up and the trip will take you to the next stay in Gjógv. On our way to Gjógv, our good Make Travel guide will tell you about places and villages, as well as a stop at particularly good places for photography. The bus will stop at the whaling station við Air and you will visit the village Saksun and Dúvugarður Museum.

After passing the Atlantic Bridge between Streymoy and Eysturoy, you will pass Eiði and continue towards Gjógv, where the bus will first pass the rock formations “the giant and the kelling” and then the Faroe Islands highest mountain Slættaratindur with its 882 m.

Dinner at Gjáargarður.

Day 4; Sightseeing Northern Islands
The day’s trip goes across Eysturoy to Borðoy, on the way stop at the village museum in Nes. Then through the sub-sea tunnel between Eysturoy and Borðoy – notice the light at the bottom, the artwork by our famous artist Tróndur Patursson.

After a short sightseeing trip in the city of Klaksvík, we visit the island of Kunoy.

Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5; Sightseeing Vága
Again, the bus and guide will bring you from Eysturoy via Streymoy to the island of Vága, where you will be staying at Hotel Vágar. After check in, it is time to explore Vága; Barbara’s house Kálvalid, the war museum, the beautiful church in Sandavágur

and the villages Bøur and Gásadalur. The trip ends with a boat trip with the most peculiar vessel Lakeside going to the waterfall Bøssdalafossur.

Dinner is served at the cozy Café Fjørðoy.

Day 6; Meet a local and return home
Before flying home, it’s time to meet a “local” – Make Travel has set up a meeting with a farmer from Bøur and he tells about life on the islands and in the village where he lives.

Lunch at Café Fjørðoy in Sørvágur.

Then it’s time to say goodbye and Make Travel hopes that the trip will be a really good experience and we’ll just say “see you again”.
