Day by day suggestions

Day 1; Copenhagen – Faroe Islands

When you arrive in the Faroe Islands, your driver/guide will be waiting for you at the airport.

After greeting your driver/guide, drive out to Gásadalur and see the beautiful waterfall “Múlafossur” and with the opportunity to wander around the small village with 11 inhabitants.
After Gásadalur, drive past Bøur and then to Tórshavn, where you will stay for the next 3 nights.

After arriving in Tórshavn, you have the opportunity to wander around the capital, visit some of the small design shops, take a walk on Tinganes (Faroe Islands Parliament – probably the oldest in the world) between the old houses at Reyni or enjoy a good cup of coffee at one of the nearby cafés.
Out on Tinganes you can try to find the sundial carved into the stones 🙂

Sights: Bøur, Gásadalur with the waterfall “Múlafossur” and Tórshavn

Day 2; Sightseeing North Islands incl. Kalsoy

Pick-up at the hotel. Sightseeing with your driver/guide to the North Islands. You will experience Borðoy, Viðoy, Kunoy and Kalsoy.

To get to Kalsoy, you need to take a boat – which takes 20 minutes.
Here you can hike out to the lighthouse and visit James Bond’s tombstone.

Difficulty: medium/slightly difficult

The hike begins in Trøllanes. It takes 1 hour each way and the difficulty level is “moderate”.

While in Kalsoy, drive to Mikladalur where you can see the popular and stunningly beautiful statue of “Kópakonan” (seal woman).

Day 3; On your own

Today you have the option to buy an excursion with driver/guide or do something completely different – for example, experience Tórshavn by bike, hike to Kirkjubøur or eat some good Faroese food at one of the many great restaurants in Tórshavn.

Day 4; Journey home

After an eventful few days, it’s time to head home – with memories to last a lifetime.
