Day by day suggestions
Day 1 (Thursday)
Upon arrival in the stunning Faroe Islands, a booked shuttle taxi will be waiting for you and bring you to Hotel Djurhuus***, which will be your “home” for the next 7 nights.

Day 2 (Friday)
The days are at your own disposal – unless you choose to purchase an additional full-day trip to Borðoy, Kalsoy and Viðoy (see below under “possible purchases”).
We can suggest a walking tour through Tórshavn’s old town “á Reyni” and visit the world’s oldest parliament “Tinganes”. There are several very interesting museums to visit and perhaps have lunch in the Nordic House.
Enjoy the world’s smallest capital with its maritime cafés, restaurants, design shops and perhaps the business center SMS.

Day 3 (Saturday)
Today’s excursion goes to Sandoy where you will visit the 19th century church in Sandur, walk through the old village of Húsavík, visit the picturesque isolated village of Dalur, visit the site of a late 19th century shipwreck and a place of magic.
From there you drive to the beautiful old village of Kirkjubøur. Here you will visit the oldest church still in use in the Faroe Islands, the over 900-year-old Olav Church. You will also see the ruins of St. Magnus Cathedral from the 14th century.
You will be picked up at the hotel at 08:45.
You will be back at the hotel at 16:00.

Day 4 (Sunday)
The days are at your own disposal.

Day 5 (Monday)
The days are at your own disposal – unless you choose to purchase an additional full-day trip to Tjørnuvík, Saksun and the Vestmanna Mountains boat trip (see below under “possible purchases”).
We can suggest a walking tour through Tórshavn’s old town “á Reyni” and visit the world’s oldest parliament “Tinganes”. There are several very interesting museums to visit and perhaps have lunch in the Nordic House.

Day 6 (Tuesday)
You will be picked up at the hotel at 08:45 for a full-day excursion to Eysturoy via the new underwater tunnel.
The first stop is in Elduvík, where you will see the beautiful nature and hear interesting stories.
Then to Gjógv and Ljósáir where lunch is served.
After lunch, drive to a local sheep farm where a local farmer will show you some Faroese sheep and talk about sheep farming in the Faroe Islands.
You will be back at the hotel at 16:30.

Day 7 (Wednesday)
You will be picked up at the hotel at 08:45 for the full-day excursion to Vágar.
After some photo stops on the way to the island of Vágar, drive to the last settlement on Vágar – Gásadalur. Here you’ll see Múlafossur and enjoy a homemade packed lunch.
Then continue to Bøur, where the bus stops and you can wander around the small cozy village with views of Tindhólmur, Mykines and Drangarnir.
From Bøur you will be taken to the War Museum, located in the old war buildings next to the airport.
You will be back at the hotel at 16:00.
After visiting the War Museum, you can purchase an additional DKK 450,- to hike out to Trælanípan with a guide.

Day 8 (Thursday)
