Day by day suggestions
Day 1; Copenhagen/Billund – Faroe Islands
When you arrive in the Faroe Islands, your shuttle car will be waiting for you at the airport.
You will drive to the capital Tórshavn, where you will stay for the first 4 nights.
Once you’ve settled into your lovely hotel room, we suggest a walking tour of the old town in the center of the capital and enjoy a good cup of coffee at one of the nearby cafés.

Day 2; Streymoy
Today you have a full-day excursion to Streymoy.
On this tour you will first drive to Tjørnuvík, en route north to the beautiful village you can enjoy many photo stops, such as Kollafjørð Church, Hvalvík, Haldórsvík, Langasandur and the old whaling station at Áir.
In the surfer’s paradise of Tjørnuvík you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Giant and the Witch, the two freestanding cliffs and the beautiful valley and picturesque village.
From Tjørnuvík you will have a photo stop at the Fossá waterfall, the highest in the Faroe Islands.
Continue to Saksun, an old village at the end of the longest valley in the Faroe Islands. Enjoy the iconic view of the old stone church that sits above the beautiful lagoon in the valley below. See the old farmhouse from the 17th century and the stunning waterfalls across the entire mountainside.
From Saksun drive to the other side of the mountain to Vestmanna and enjoy several photo stops along the way, such as Leynar and Kvívík. In these peaceful surroundings you can enjoy our delicious homemade packed lunch.
When you arrive in Vestmanna, you’ll take a boat under the bird cliffs. Enjoy 1½ hours of the most spectacular landscape in the Faroe Islands with its vertical cliffs, free-standing rock formations, sea caves and birdlife.
After the boat trip, you’ll have the opportunity to shop for some souvenirs at Vestmanna Visitor Center before returning to Tórshavn.

Day 3; Eysturoy
Today you’ll take a full-day excursion to Eysturoy.
You drive from Torshavn to Eysturoy via the only underwater tunnel in the world that has a roundabout under the sea.
On Eysturoy, we leave the tunnel at Strendur and drive via the western arm of Skálafjørður, the longest fjord in the Faroe Islands. The first stop on the tour is at the village of Elduvík, where you will see wonderful nature and hear interesting stories.
From Elduvík the tour goes via Funningsfjord, past the village of Funningur, where the sagas say the early Nordic settlers arrived and built their homes around 800 AD.
Over Funningur on the way to Gjógv you will stop at the viewpoint Hvíthamar and a short (15 minute) hike to one of the most stunning views in the country.
From there you drive down to the village of Gjógv where you walk around the beautiful gorge, hear stories and see the church.
From Gjógv you drive under the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands, Slættaratindur (882 meters) and stop at the viewpoint Risin & Kellingin (The Giant and the Witch). These 2 freestanding rocks are said to be 2 giants that would pull the Faroe Islands over to Iceland.
Next stop is Café Rose in Ljósáir, where you’ll have a nice lunch and get some rest.
After lunch, drive through the mountain and the opposite side of Skálafjørður to the southernmost point of Eysturoy, where there are wonderful views across to Tórshavn and the east side of Nólsoy.
From there it’s a short drive to a local sheep farm where a local farmer will show you some Faroese sheep and tell you about sheep farming in the Faroe Islands. From there, you’ll head to the Navia wool shop where you’ll have the opportunity to buy some Faroese knitwear and yarn before heading back to Tórshavn through the tunnel again.

Day 4; Vágar
Today you are going on a full-day excursion to Vágar.
First you will drive out of Tórshavn and stop at Viewpoint Tórshavn for pictures of the city from above.
Then you will drive to the Norðadalsskarð viewpoint and enjoy magnificent views of Norðadalur, Koltur Island and Trøllhøvdið islet.
From there you will stop at the Mjørkadalur viewpoint and enjoy stunning views of Kaldbaksfjørður.
After a short drive you will stop at the Kollafjørður viewpoint before stopping at the EFFO station for a free cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate before driving through the Vágatunnel.
From Kollafjørð, drive to Sandavágur to visit the beautiful church.
Then drive straight across the island to Gásadalur, the remote village with the most photographed waterfall in the Faroe Islands, Múlafossur.
After enjoying the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of Gásadalur and a homemade packed lunch, drive to Bøur for a short stop to take pictures of the amazing Tindhólmur with its many peaks.
From Bøur you will be taken to the War Museum, located in the old war buildings next to the airport – then we drive to Sørvágsvatn viewpoint and see the unique Nykurin statue with its history.
After visiting the largest lake in the Faroe Islands, you will be driven to Miðvágur, from where an OPTIONAL EXTRA hike to Trælanípan starts. This easy to moderate hike takes 3 hours out to the incredible viewpoints of Trælanípan, the Bøsdalafossur waterfall and the “lake above the sea”.
From there, the bus will take you back to Tórshavn and drop you off at your hotel.

Day 5; Faroe Islands – Iceland
Today, the Faroese gem is replaced by a no less beautiful Icelandic gem – flying just over 1 hour and arriving at Keflavik Airport, where you’ll take a shuttle to your accommodation.

Day 6; The Golden Circle
On this day, the Golden Circle awaits – giving you the opportunity to visit some of Iceland’s most magnificent sights: Geysir geothermal area, Gullfoss waterfall and the UNESCO site Þingvellir National Park. On the tour, you’ll also learn about the country’s vegetation, which doesn’t get much daylight most of the year.

Day 7; Whale watching
There are 23 species of whales in the sea around Iceland. Join this Whale watching Reykjavik tour and have an amazing experience.
