Day 1; Copenhagen/Billund/Aalborg – Faroe Islands
When you arrive in the Faroe Islands, your rental car will be waiting for you at the airport.
The first 2 nights you will sleep in Gjógv. While staying here you will have 3 hikes.
Once you arrive in beautiful Gjógv and get settled, a very popular hike awaits – Ambadalur, which takes about 2½ hours to walk.
Difficulty level: medium
You’ll walk along the stunning coastline where you’ll have beautiful views of the sea – a truly unique experience.
Birdlife is abundant and you can expect to see everything from puffins to guillemots.

Day 2; Kallur light house
Today you’ll drive 45 minutes to Klaksvík and then take a 20-minute boat ride to Kallsoy. Here you will walk out to Kallur light house.
Difficulty: medium/slightly difficult
The hike begins in Trøllanes. It takes 1 hour each way and the difficulty level is “moderate” – here you also have the opportunity to see James Bond’s tombstone.
While in Kalsoy, drive to Mikladalur where you can see the popular and amazing statue of “Kópakonan” (the seal woman).

Day 3; Slættaratindur
Today you need to change hotels.
After check out, hike up the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands – 882 meters – this trip takes approximately 4 hours.
Difficulty level: medium
Next, we drive to Tórshavn. We recommend you take the route through Funningur – and try to drive through all the zig-zag turns.
Then we recommend you head towards Runavík and take the Eysturoyar tunnel to Tórshavn. This is the famous underwater tunnel, the first ever to have a roundabout at the bottom and with sculptures made by the famous Faroese artist Tróndur Patursson to represent the Faroese chain dance.
You’ll check into the lovely Hotel Djurhuus***, where you’ll stay for the next 3 nights.

Day 4; Quiet and calm day
The day is yours and you set the program and pace. Visit some of the small design shops, take a walk to Tinganes (Faroe Islands Parliament) between the old houses in Reyni or enjoy a good cup of coffee at one of the nearby cafés.

Day 5; Vestmannabjørgini
Today you will drive to Vestmanna,
After some great days of hiking, today you’ll head to Vestmanna. Here you will experience a beautiful boat trip along the bird cliffs and into the caves.
There is something for all the senses. The sound of lake birds, the whispers and colors of the sea, the weathered formations of the rocks and the sky touching the mountain peaks.
The boat slips into caves and the day disappears for a moment. Darkness and the sound of dripping water and then suddenly out again on the other side – an indescribable experience that must be tried.
The duration of the tour is approximately 2 hours.

Day 6; Sørvágsvatn, Trælanípa and Bøsdalafossur – Denmark
Before you head back home, there’s one last hike, this beautiful and lovely hike right next to the airport.
Lake Sørvágsvatn is the largest lake in the Faroe Islands. Here you’ll get a fantastic view that you won’t soon forget. You also have a view of the Bøsdalafossur waterfall, which flows from the lake into the sea.
The trail also takes you to Trælanípa (Slave Mountain), a rock wall that rises 142 meters vertically from the sea.
The trip is 5 km there and back. And takes about 2 hours in total.
Difficulty level: easy
After an eventful few days, it’s time to head home – with memories to last a lifetime.
