The nature around us – and perhaps especially around Leitis-/Sørvágsvatn – offers great opportunities to do interesting and fun exercises to strengthen unity and cooperation
We can mention some of the exercises:
Lord of the Rings
Ring with 5 strings held by 5 “blind” people guided by someone who can see.
Chain milling and skiing
Relay on the riding arena. First with a 100 kg chain, then switch to shared skis.
Wheelbarrow race
Teams of three, where one person sits in the wheelbarrow and two “blind” people each have a handle. Runs an obstacle course and ends up in front of a small target that must be hit with a tennis ball.
Memory
Wooden pieces with numbers from 1-50 are spread out on an area.
Each team rolls the dice and must now find the number.
Then return and roll again.
New numbers are added to the previous one. Out to find the sum.
Roll again and add with the sum of the previous rolls.
First to at least 50 wins.
Sack race
Teams (of six people) must all jump into the same sack.
Tasmanian petanque
Like regular petanque, but with wooden balls in terrain.
Minefield
Non verbal communication exercise. Square with 36 squares contains a path that is hidden and safe for the participants.
Go through the minefield without stepping on a mine.
Step on a mine – return to the team and explain without words where it went wrong.
Faroese mountain golf
Fewest shots against a course with 4-5 pegs. Several players can be active at the same time.
Javelin relay
Teams must hit a hula hoop. To get close to the target ring, you have to lay out your team’s own ring at a distance they think they can reach with a spear throw.
Balistic sock
The team obsavator designates the target area, which is hidden behind a mound for the throwers, who throw socks filled with sand.
Kayak relay
The price per person for 20 participants is DKK 990,-.
