Vágar Island
Vágar Island has it all – located just 30 min. drive from Tórshavn.
Driving through the first sub-sea-tunnel on the Faroe Islands 110 meters below sea level we arrive to the village of Sandavágur and here we will visit the church.
From Sandavágur we will pass the largest lake on the Faroes – Sørvágsvatn/Leitisvatn – driving to beautiful Gásadalur with the amazing waterfall Múlafossur.
A short walk to the viewpoint in Gásadalur we will see the island of Mykines and the islet Tindholmur.
Here we might see puffins.
Then to the small village of Bøur.
On the return we will stop at the war museum.
We will use the old road toward Tórshavn and here pass the old NATO-station, which today is our prisson.
This excursions is a combination of walking and driving.
You will be picked up at your cruise ship and returned after it has ended.
