Tórshavn is the Worlds smallest capital, beautifully placed at the foot of the surrounding mountains, and with at great view over the island of Nólsoy. The city was founded in year 825 and is named after the nordic god Thor. The city has a rich cultural lifte with concerts, teathers and exhebitions for every taste.

See the old town, “á Reyni”, with the small houses, narrow alleys, grass roofs, the fort “Skansin” and Tinganes – which is the oldest parliament in the World.

Kirkjubøur is the old cultural centre of Faroe Islands; there you will visit the oldest church still in use in the Faroe, the over 900 years old Ólavs church. Then the ruins of the 14th Century Sct. Magnus Cathedral (Unesco World Heritage Site). Finishing the visit in the 950+ years old farmhouse, the Roykstova. This farm is the home of the Patursson family, currently headed by the 17th generation of the family running the farm.

This excursions is a combination of walking and driving.
